Welcome Cwrel!

Today we finally introduce you to Dog #6.

On Sunday the 29th of May we travelled up to Cardiff, Wales, to pick up our newest family member. We intended to call her Coral but decided to name her Cwrel as it is the welsh spelling of the word and pronounced similarly. She was one of 5 puppies in the litter born on the 28th of March and was the last one to be homed. Her mum and Dad are both miniature shorthaired dachshunds and she came from a loving family home. She spent most of the long journey back home asleep in her car seat after having a rough night previously.

Since coming home she has settled in nicely, made friends with the other dogs and made the most of the good weather. We have managed to almost fully potty train her with our washable and reusable toilet mats. She has struggled to adjust to cage sleeping overnight and still hasn't manged to yet to overcome but as most of you will know it takes time and patience. She's a pleasure to have in the family. She loves chicken, naps and chew toys... oh and biting everyone's hair and toes.
