The other day we took Crystal to the vets to confirm whether she is pregnant or not with a scan. She was a very brave girl and happily let the Vet scan her. Crystal is currently around 6 weeks pregnant, if you can believe how quickly time has flown by. She is expected to give birth around the 24th of June. During the scan the Vet was clearly able to identify at least 3 puppies, however the scan isn't fully accurate as puppies tend to hide themselves behind the mothers rib cage. There is also the issue of not being able to distinguish each puppy so some may get counted twice or not at all. This being said, the vet was able to get 3 puppies on the screen at the same time, although she expects that there are more than that. In Crystals last litter she gave girth to 9 healthy little pups.

Below you can watch the videos taken of the scan at the vets, if you look closely you should be able to identify the flickering heartbeats of the puppies. It's not long now until she will give birth, so watch this space.
